How do I remember where I parked?
In Just List, tap Park Here when you leave the car and write the level and row on the Parking list. Park Here also rings once when you walk away, for a meter or a ticket. It's free on Android and iPhone.
How to do it
Tap Park Here
Long-press the Just List icon on your home screen and tap Park Here. On Android you can also use the parking button in the Just List widget.
Allow location
The first time, the app asks for location permission, including background location. Without it, the walk-away reminder can't fire.
Write the spot down
Park Here opens a list called Parking. Add an item with the level and row, for example "Level 3, row C". That item is what you will read when you come back.
Walk away
Park Here also sets a reminder with a 150 meter radius around the car. When you walk away, your phone reminds you once, for example to pay or to start a meter timer, and then the reminder is cleared.

The problem
Level 3, or was it 4? Row C? The shopping center looks completely different from the inside than it did when you arrived. A photo of the spot is a fine idea, until you forget to take it.
How it works
- Long-press the Just List icon and tap Park Here. (Android also has a parking button in the widget.)
- Allow location, including background location, the first time.
- Add an item to the Parking list with the level and row. This is the part that remembers the spot.
- When you walk away, your phone reminds you once, for example to pay or set a meter timer. Then the reminder is cleared.
Tap Park Here again at the next parking spot and the same Parking list is reused, so you never end up with twenty parking lists.
Good to know
- The app does not keep a map pin. The reminder and its location are cleared once it rings, so the item on the list is your memory of where the car is.
- It does not count down a meter. If you have a time limit, add a time reminder to the Parking list.
- You need to be signed in, and the app needs background location, or the walk-away reminder can't fire.
- The reminder is a one-off, so it won't buzz you next time you walk past the car.

Just List Plus →FAQ
Does Just List keep a map pin of my car?
No. The walk-away reminder rings once and is then cleared, along with its location. If you need the spot later, write it as an item on the Parking list.
Does Park Here count down the parking meter?
No. For a time limit, add a time reminder to the Parking list, for example 10 minutes before the meter runs out.
Does it work with the app closed?
Yes, as long as the app has background location permission. It uses your phone's location system, not the app staying open.
Do I need to be signed in?
Yes. Park Here creates a list in your account, so the app asks you to sign in first.
Does it drain my battery?
It relies on your phone's built-in place detection, not constant GPS tracking.
Does the parking list count toward my free lists?
Yes, it's a regular list. A free account has up to 7 active lists.
How is it different from a normal location reminder?
It's a one-tap version. Park Here picks the leave-the-place trigger and a 150 meter radius for you, around where you are right now.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Park Here and location reminders are free.
Just List (justlistapp.com) is a list and reminders app for iOS, Android and web where Justy the fox writes your list from one sentence, guests claim what they bring from a link with no app or account, shared lists sync live, and reminders ring where you are.
