How do I scan a school form or document and find it later?
In the Just List app, tap Scan a paper, point the camera at the form and get a straightened PDF in seconds. It stays on your phone, you can search it by title later, and you can share it or ask Justy to file it.
How to do it
Tap Scan a paper
In the app, tap the plus button and choose Scan a paper. Allow the camera the first time. No camera at hand? Import a photo or a PDF instead.
Scan the page
Hold steady while the page straightens itself. Several pages? Keep going, and they fold into one PDF. You can rotate a page or drag pages to reorder them.
Give it a name
Add a title ("Trip permission slip") and, if you want, a short description. This is what you'll search for later.
Keep it, share it or let Justy file it
Choose Just keep it, Share (to WhatsApp or email, say), or File it for me, and Justy reads it and suggests where it belongs and whether to remind you about a date.
Find it again
Open Papers, or search from the Lists screen. Search looks at titles and descriptions, so "permission" finds the permission slip.

The problem
The school sends a permission slip as a photo of a photo. You sign it, take a picture, send it, and three weeks later the teacher asks for it again, and you scroll your gallery between 400 pictures of the dog.
How it works
- Scan. Camera or import a photo or PDF. Pages straighten themselves, and several pages become one PDF.
- Name it. A title and an optional description, which is what search uses.
- Decide what happens next. Keep it, share it, or let Justy file it.
- Find it. Under Papers, or in the search on the Lists screen.
File it for me
Justy reads the paper once and proposes: a title, a date, an amount, and the list it should go into. Receipts can go to Expenses, vouchers to Coupons (with a reminder before the date), subscriptions and warranties to Renewals. You check it and tap Save & remind me. If she can't make sense of the page, you can still keep the scan.
Tie it to the task
Attach a scan to a list item, and a paperclip appears on it. The item "sign the trip form" and the form itself live together.
Good to know
- Camera access is used only while you scan.
- If Justy is busy or you're offline, the scan is safe on your phone.

Where does my scan live?
On your phone, as a PDF. It only goes to the cloud if you tap Keep in cloud, file it into a shared list, or ask Justy to file it.
Can I attach a scan to a list item?
Yes. Open the item and choose Attach a scan. A little paperclip shows on the item, so the form that goes with "sign trip form" is one tap away.
Can I scan on the website?
Scanning is in the phone app. On the website you can see the papers you keep in the cloud or filed into a shared list.
What does "File it for me" do?
Justy reads the paper once and suggests a title, a date and an amount, and where to save it: Coupons, Renewals, Expenses or Papers. You approve before anything is saved.
Is there a limit?
Scanning isn't limited. "File it for me" is limited per day, and the cloud shelf holds a few papers on the free plan.
