Lists

How do I never miss a voucher or coupon expiry date?

Add the voucher or gift card to a Coupons list in Just List with its expiry date, pick when you want to be reminded (1, 3, 7 or 30 days before), and the app nudges you in time. Free.

How to do it

  1. Make a Coupons list

In the app, create a new list and choose the Coupons type. Anything with an expiry date goes here: vouchers, gift cards, discount codes.

  2. Add the voucher and its expiry date

Type its name ("Pizza voucher"), add the amount if you like, and pick the expiry date.

  3. Choose when to be reminded

Tap the reminder chips: 1, 3, 7 or 30 days before. You can pick up to four. Each reminder arrives at 9:00 in the morning.

  4. Or just scan it

Got the voucher on paper? Scan it with the camera and let Justy read the date and suggest saving it into your Coupons list with a reminder.

  5. Use it in time

When the reminder shows up, you know it's time to use it. A voucher that passed its date gets an Expired tag, so the list stays honest.

Add the voucher or gift card to a Coupons list in Just List together with its expiry date, and pick when you want to be reminded: 1, 3, 7 or 30 days before. The app sends a notification at 9:00 on those days, so the voucher doesn't quietly die in your drawer. It's free.

The problem

You get a 100-shekel voucher for your birthday, you put it somewhere safe, and eight months later you find it. Safe, and expired. A calendar entry would help, but nobody opens a calendar to add "voucher, use before March".

How it works

  • A Coupons list has a name, an optional amount and an expiry date for each item.
  • You choose up to four reminders per coupon: 1, 3, 7 or 30 days before.
  • Each one is a notification on your phone at 9:00 on that day. It says the coupon is about to expire.
  • Once the day has passed, the coupon gets an Expired tag.

Got it on paper?

Scan it. Open Scan a paper, point the camera at the voucher, and choose File it for me. Justy reads it once and suggests where it goes: a Coupons list, with the date she found. You check it, tap Save & remind me, and you're done. More in the guide to scanning documents.

Good to know

  • Notifications need to be allowed for the app.
  • The reminders live on the phone. On the website you can view and edit the list, but nothing rings from there.
  • Want the same for subscriptions that renew? There's a list type for that too.

What's free and what's Plus

Coupons and their expiry reminders are free. The free account has a cap on active lists and items per list (the same as for every list), and Plus removes it.

FAQ

Do the reminders work if I don't open the app?

Yes. They are notifications scheduled on your phone, so they arrive on their own. Just allow notifications for the app.

How many reminders can one coupon have?

Up to four: 1, 3, 7 and 30 days before the expiry date.

When does a coupon count as expired?

After the expiry day is over. A coupon that expires today still shows as valid until the end of the day.

Can I set coupon reminders on the website?

You can see and edit a Coupons list on the web, but the reminders themselves are scheduled by the phone app.

Does it cost anything?

No. Coupon lists and their reminders are free.
