Who brings what

How do I collect RSVPs for a birthday party without chasing everyone?

Create a Who's Coming event in Just List, share one link, and guests answer coming, not coming or maybe, plus how many kids and adults. No app, no account, free.

How to do it

  1. Create the event

Create an event and switch on "Who's coming (RSVPs)", or tell Justy "birthday at the park Friday 4pm". Only the title is required.

  2. Count kids and adults separately

Pick "adults and kids" as the counting mode, so you see something like "12 adults, 9 kids" and can order the right amount of cake.

  3. Send one link

Post the link in the parents' group or send it privately. Guests answer in their browser.

  4. Nudge only the ones who haven't answered

Add a guest list and you get a "Haven't answered yet" section with a button that opens WhatsApp with a ready message.

Create a Who's Coming event in Just List and send one link to the parents. Each family taps Coming, Not coming or Maybe and says how many kids and adults, with no app and no account. You see live totals, and with a guest list you see exactly who hasn't answered.

The problem

You posted the invitation, and now it is a pile of thumbs-up, "we'll try", and a parent who texts you privately on the morning of the party. Counting cupcakes from that is a guess.

How it works

  1. Create an event and switch on "Who's coming (RSVPs)". Date, time and place are optional.
  2. Choose adults and kids as the counting mode if the party has both.
  3. Share the link. It is ready right away.
  4. Watch the totals fill in. Guests can change their answer from the same link.

Nice extras

  • An answer-by deadline, so you know the final number in time.
  • A guest list, so you can remind only those who have not answered.
  • "Things to bring" on the same event, if you want help with snacks and drinks. See how to organize who brings what.

What's free and what's Plus

FAQ

Do parents need to install an app?

No. They open the link, tap Coming, Not coming or Maybe, and say how many are coming. No account.

How do I count siblings and parents who stay?

Use the adults-and-kids counting mode. Each guest says how many adults and how many kids, and the total follows.

Can I set an answer-by date?

Yes. Set a deadline, and the day before it tap "Remind the maybes".

Can I also ask who brings the snacks?

Yes, in one tap, on the same event and the same link. Guests answer first, then pick what to bring. Adding things to bring makes it a regular event, which counts toward your active events.

Can I limit the number of guests?

Only if you want to. Set a capacity and Coming closes when it is reached.

Who sees the answers?

You choose: names and counts, totals only, or each guest sees only their own answer. Notes and phone numbers are visible to you only.
