Who brings what

How do I organize who brings what for a class party, youth group activity or BBQ without everyone installing an app?

Type one sentence at justlistapp.com/en/justy, Justy drafts a who-brings-what list, and you share the link with the group. Everyone taps what they're bringing, with no app and no account.

How to do it

  1. Type one sentence

Go to justlistapp.com/en/justy and type something like "class party for 30 kids on Thursday". Justy drafts the who-brings-what list.

  2. Share the link with the group

Drop the link in the group chat right away. Nothing has to be set up first, and you can still edit the list after it's out.

  3. Everyone claims an item

Guests open the link, see what's still needed and tap what they're bringing. No app to install, no account to make.

  4. Watch it fill up

The list updates live, so it's always clear what's covered and what's still open.

The problem

You know the drill. Someone posts a list in the group chat, people copy it, add their name and paste it back. Twenty messages later there are three desserts, zero drinks, and nobody knows which version is the real one.

With Just List there's one list behind one link. Everyone who opens it sees the current version, and claimed items are already marked.

Good for

Class parties, youth group activities, BBQs, birthdays, potlucks. Anything where "who's bringing what?" usually turns into chaos.

What hosts get in the app

  • A push for each claim, with mute per event.
  • The option to remove anyone's claim. The guest is notified.
  • Events you've joined show up on your home screen, and you can hide them.

You don't need any of that to get started. The list, the link and the claiming all work from a browser.

Already have a list?

If the sign-up is already running in a spreadsheet or a group message, don't start over. The guide How to turn a sign-up sheet into an event shows how to do it in about a minute.

What's free and what's Plus

Guests never pay and never sign up. Event lists have no item limit on any plan. A free account can have up to 10 active events; Plus makes that unlimited.
