How do I put checked items back on my list, or clear them all?
In Just List, checked items aren't deleted. On a shopping list they fold into one row, “N checked”. Tap it to open “Checked”: put one item back, put them all back, or clear them all with undo. What comes back most is first.
How to do it
Check things off as usual
Tap an item's circle or swipe it. On a shopping list it moves into the “checked” row at the bottom of the list.
Open “Checked”
Tap the “N checked · Put back or clear” row. A sheet opens with everything you checked, with what comes back most at the top.
Put back or clear
“Put back” next to an item returns it to the list. “Put all back” returns them all. “Clear all” deletes everything checked, and you can undo it for a few seconds.
Pick how checked items look
In the list's gear, under checked items: “One row” or “Under the line, struck through”, for this list or for all your lists.
In Just List, what you check off doesn't disappear. On a shopping list it folds into one row, “7 checked · Put back or clear”, and from there you put an item back, put everything back, or clear it all with undo. What comes back most is at the top, so your weekly regulars go back on the list in a few taps.
The problem
Most household lists repeat: the same groceries every week, the same chores every month. Deleting and retyping is a waste, but leaving everything you checked on screen is a mess.
How it works
- One row. Checked items fold into an “N checked” row at the bottom, so the list stays clean.
- One sheet for everything checked. “Put back” per item, “Put all back” and “Clear all”, with undo. What comes back most is first.
- Or under the line. Prefer to see checked items struck through under a line? Pick “Under the line, struck through” in the gear. The line opens the same sheet too.

Why are checked items on my to-do list under a line instead of in one row?
That's the default: shopping lists start with one row, other lists start under the line. You can change it on any list from the gear.
If I change how it looks, does it change for the people I share the list with?
No. Everyone picks their own, and nothing changes for the rest of the list.
I cleared them by mistake. Can I get them back?
Yes, with the “Undo” that shows for a few seconds after “Clear all”.
Can I put an item back without opening the sheet?
When checked items are under the line, tapping a struck-through item brings it back. The eye next to the line hides and shows them.
Where did the add box go?
If you're new, it's at the bottom, near your thumb. You can move it to the top in Settings with “Add box at the top”.
Does this cost anything?
No. It's all free.
