Lists

How do I make a shared grocery list that syncs live with my family?

Create a grocery list in Just List, share it by link or WhatsApp, and everyone who joins sees every item and every check-off instantly, on Android, iPhone and the web.

How to do it

  1. Create a list

In the app, tap the Groceries quick start, or create a new list and name it.

  2. Share it

Send the list by link or straight to WhatsApp, to your partner, your kids or your roommates.

  3. They join

Whoever gets the link opens it and joins the list.

  4. Everyone sees the same list

Every item added and everything checked off at the store updates for everyone live, on Android, iPhone and the web lists page.

Create a grocery list in Just List, share it by link or WhatsApp, and everyone who joins sees every new item and every check-off instantly. It syncs across Android, iPhone and the web lists page, so everyone is looking at exactly the same list.

The problem

"Grab milk on the way home." Then a second text: "And bread." Then a third, while you're already at checkout: "Forgot, eggs too." Meanwhile someone else already bought milk, and now there are two in the fridge.

One shared list fixes that. What gets added at home shows up instantly for whoever's at the store, and what gets checked off at the store stops showing as missing at home.

How to start

  1. In the app, tap the Groceries quick start.
  2. Share it by link or WhatsApp.
  3. Your people open the link and join.
  4. Add, check off, and everyone stays in sync.

A little help while you type

As you type an item, the app suggests what you usually buy, based on your history, similar lists and AI. One tap and the milk you buy every week is on the list. (Suggestions are in the app, not on the web.)

Free and Plus

A free account gets up to 7 active lists and up to 30 items per list. A shared list counts as Plus if anyone on it has Plus, so the cap doesn't apply to it. And if a subscription ends, nothing is deleted.

Want Plus for the whole household? Plus Family covers up to 6 accounts with one payment. More on shared lists at justlistapp.com/en/shared-shopping-list.

What's free and what's Plus

Free: up to 7 active lists and 30 items per list. A shared list counts as Plus if anyone on it has Plus, which removes the cap. Nothing is deleted when a plan ends; you just can't add past the cap. Plus Family covers up to 6 people.

FAQ

Does it work between Android and iPhone?

Yes. The list syncs across Android, iPhone and the web lists page, so it doesn't matter who has which phone.

How many lists and items do I get for free?

Up to 7 active lists and up to 30 items per list. Plus removes both limits.

If only one of us has Plus, does the limit still apply to our shared list?

No. A shared list counts as Plus if anyone on it has Plus, so it has no item cap.

What happens to my lists if my subscription ends?

Nothing gets deleted. You just can't add past the free limit until you make room or come back to Plus.

Does the app help me remember what I usually buy?

Yes. As you type, the app suggests your usual items based on your history and similar lists. Tap a suggestion and it's on the list.

Can the whole family get Plus with one payment?

Yes, with Plus Family: one subscription for up to 6 accounts, and everyone keeps a private account and their own lists.
