Who brings what

How do I organize equipment for a youth group activity?

Start at justlistapp.com/en/justy and Justy drafts the activity's equipment list. Share the link with the other leaders and each one taps what they're bringing, with no app and no account.

How to do it

  1. Tell Justy about the activity

Go to justlistapp.com/en/justy, tap Hosting something?, pick Something else and type "youth group capture the flag". Then pick how many people, and Justy drafts a starting list.

  2. Adjust it to your plan

Rename, add and delete items until it is your gear list: cones, bibs, balls, snacks, a speaker. Remove or rename any food lines Justy adds that you don't need. You can keep editing after it's shared.

  3. Send the link to the leaders' group

Drop the link in the leaders' group chat. Nobody has to install anything or sign up.

  4. Each leader takes what they can bring

Leaders open the link, see what's still needed and tap their items. Taken items are marked with a name.

  5. Run it again next week

Next activity, start a new event. If you have last time's list in a sheet, import it instead of retyping.

Start at justlistapp.com/en/justy, Justy drafts the activity's equipment list, and you drop the link in the leaders' group. Each leader taps what they're bringing, with no app and no account, and you can see what's covered before you leave the house.

The problem

The activity is at 5. At 4:40 you find out that three people brought bibs, nobody brought balls, and the speaker is "probably at someone's place".

One list behind one link means everyone sees what's already taken, and what's still open.

Good for

Weekly activities, camps, scout outings, sports days, any group where several leaders split the prep.

Next step

If a list or a sign-up already exists, see How to turn a sign-up sheet into an event. For the full who-brings-what flow, see How do I organize who brings what without everyone installing an app?.

What's free and what's Plus

Leaders never pay and never sign up to claim an item. Event lists have no item limit on any plan. A free account can have up to 10 active events; Plus makes that unlimited.

FAQ

Do the other leaders need the app?

No. Everyone can claim an item from a browser link. Install the app and you also get a push for each claim (mute per event).

Is there a limit on how many items an event can have?

No. Event lists have no item limit on any plan, including the free one.

Can I add items after sharing?

Yes. You can keep editing, and everyone with the link sees the current list.

Can I bring in the list we already keep in a sheet?

Yes. You can import a spreadsheet, a Google Sheets link, a photo of a sign-up sheet or a pasted list.

Someone dropped out. Can I free up their item?

Yes. From your organizer link (or the app) you can remove any claim, and the person gets a heads-up.
