Hanukkah party: who brings what, in one link
For a Hanukkah party, make one list of latkes, sufganiyot, candles and drinks and share it as a link, so each guest claims what they bring. Just List does this with no app and no account for your guests, and Justy writes the first list for you.
“Hanukkah party for 12 with latkes and sufganiyot”
Opens Justy with this sentence ready. You tap send; nothing is created until you do.
How it works
Tell Justy the occasion
One sentence, like "Friday dinner for 10, everyone brings something". Justy the fox writes the list.
Share one guest link
Paste it in the WhatsApp group, or send it any way you like. It is a normal link.
Guests claim what they bring
They open it in a browser and tap an item. No app, no account. You watch the list fill in live.
Hanukkah party for 12
| Item | Claimed by |
|---|---|
| Latkes (2 trays) | Dana |
| Sufganiyot, a dozen | Sam |
| Hanukkiyot and candles | Maya |
| Applesauce and sour cream | Alex |
| Drinks and hot chocolate | Noa |
| Dreidels for the kids | still open |
Sample list. Names are made up.
Questions people ask
How do I stop everyone bringing sufganiyot?
Put "sufganiyot, a dozen" on the list once. When a guest claims it, it is marked taken for everyone else, and the open items are the ones people see first.
Do guests need the app or an account?
No. Guests open your link in a browser, tap what they will bring, and that is it. No download and no sign-up.
Can I just use my WhatsApp group?
Use both. A chat is fine for talking, but "I will bring salad" gets buried in 80 messages. Post the guest link in the group so the list stays in one place and nobody brings the same dish twice.
