BBQ (mangal) checklist: who brings what
For a mangal or BBQ, list the meat, charcoal, sides, drinks and gear once, share the link, and let each person claim an item so you do not end up with ten bags of pita and no charcoal. Just List needs no app for guests, and Justy writes the list from one sentence.
“Mangal for 15 friends: meat, salads, charcoal and drinks”
Opens Justy with this sentence ready. You tap send; nothing is created until you do.
How it works
Tell Justy the occasion
One sentence, like "Friday dinner for 10, everyone brings something". Justy the fox writes the list.
Share one guest link
Paste it in the WhatsApp group, or send it any way you like. It is a normal link.
Guests claim what they bring
They open it in a browser and tap an item. No app, no account. You watch the list fill in live.
Mangal for 15
| Item | Claimed by |
|---|---|
| Meat and chicken, 4 kg | Dana |
| Charcoal and lighter | Sam |
| Pita and dips | Maya |
| Salads (3) | Alex |
| Drinks and ice | Noa |
| Grill tongs, plates, trash bags | still open |
Sample list. Names are made up.
Questions people ask
Who should bring the gear, not just the food?
Put gear on the same list: grill, charcoal, tongs, a cooler, chairs. Gear is what usually gets forgotten, and a claimed item means someone has said they will carry it.
Do guests need the app or an account?
No. Guests open your link in a browser, tap what they will bring, and that is it. No download and no sign-up.
Can I just use my WhatsApp group?
Use both. A chat is fine for talking, but "I will bring salad" gets buried in 80 messages. Post the guest link in the group so the list stays in one place and nobody brings the same dish twice.
